So, excited as I am about “The Dark Knight Rises” (Joseph Gordon Levitt- Squeee!) I was really taken with the news that Warner Bros. is going to be re-booting the Batman series as soon as Nolan is done with his third film.


This got me thinking. What can you really add to the Batman mythos? Each successive film franchise seems to be darker and feature a far more broody Bruce Wayne than the one before.


So how do you get darker and more broody than the Nolan/Bale Batman?


There’s only one way: Shakespeare.
